Entertainment is very important factor in restaurant - depending on the kind of entertainment, you can bring in customers in directly through it, or it can serve as a nice touch to already stellar service and food, or better yet, all of the above.

There are many different kinds of restaurants, and thus there are many kinds of entertainment. To determine the kind of entertainment you want to provide you must first determine what kind of restaurant you are. For example, restaurants such as bars and grills provide loud / pop entertainment though bands and the like, while sports outfits draw in people by showing different kinds of sports through several monitors and television screens inside their establishment. Fine dining restaurants, on the other hand, may opt for some entertainment such as a jazz or classical instrumentalist with or without a lounge singer. Some even more conservative outfits only have very soft ambient background music that subtly complements the mood and the ambiance of the whole restaurant.

When providing entertainment, try to look also at the crowd that usually comes in to eat and / or drink at your restaurant. Try to be as sensitive as possible to their preferences without directly asking them.
